THRIFT HAUL

011.JPG

HELLO THERE.

Welcome back to my blog! Or if you’re new around here: hello, hello, I’m Sven. This week’s blogpost is long overdue, considering I went to my local thrift store almost two weeks ago now, but you know what they say: better late than never.

So yeah, let’s get to it. This week I wanna show you guys the things I bought from my local thrift store, alltogether for only 11 euros. That’s crazy right? Especially because all of the items are quite unique and cool. Let me know what you think. Do you want to see me do more of these kind of haul / fashion-related blog posts? I’m more than down to do so.

1. PLAIN RED TEE

002

I used to be afraid of the colour red. I’m not sure why, but I’ve never owned a proper red shirt… UNTIL NOW. And I absolutely love it. I’m happy I stepped out of my comfort zone. It’s always good to try new things once in a while. It may change your life for the better.

This shirt is in the size XXL, so it’s more of a dress, but tucked into jeans it looks super cool. I’ll be wearing this a lot, especially when the weather starts to get better. I want to wear a lot more colour this year, so yeah prepare yourself to see a colourful Sven this spring and summer time.

2. (FU)CK(OFF) YELLOW TEE

Fuck. Off.

No, just kidding. How fun is this shirt? I didn’t expect to find something like this at my local thrift store, especially because there isn’t much fashion around here… But yeah, I came across this treasure and couldn’t resist buying it. It’s again in a bold colour! 2017 is for sure going to be the year of colour for me.

What I love about this shirt is that it’s a fun twist on the Calvin Klein trend you see everywhere on the internet. I’m not a big fan of Calvin Klein and honestly, I’m kind of tired of seeing CK pop up on my socials… That’s why this shirt is fun, it’s kind of mocking the brand: fuck off CK.

3. PATTERNED SHIRT

Ahhh this is a crazy one! When I saw this shirt, I wasn’t sure if I loved it or if I hated it… I kinda did both. I’ve picked it up three times before I decided I wanted to take it home. And I’m glad I did, because I definitely like it more than I hate it! It’s such a good quality fabric; for some reason it feels expensive, even though I bought it for only 3 euros.

The pattern kind of reminds me of the 70s, another reason why I like it. I’m most likely going to wear it tucked into black jeans with some boots, but I think it would also look cool hanging open with a black shirt underneath.

4. MILITARY BOOTS

The last thing I picked up are these shoes and let me tell you: I’m OBSESSED with them. I love them so much! When my eyes met them from all across the room, I knew they were going home with me. These military boots look quite distressed, as if someone worn them way too much, but that adds something extra to it. It looks even cooler now. I already own a pair of Dr. Martens, and even though they look quite similar, these boots have a more vintage vibe to it. That’s why I love them. It’s also the closest I’ll ever get to the military.
